Does the idea of hitting the gym make you groan? Have you lost your motivation to get up and move? If your workouts aren’t as fun as they used to be then you’ve come to the right place.
Today, we’ll we be talking about three simple ways to make exercising super enjoyable. Let’s get started!
Music and exercise go very well together for a number of reasons. For starters, music can elevate your mood and motivate you to get up for the couch and move your body. If you’re feeling particularly unmotivated, try blasting some upbeat music to transform your mood
The right tunes also helps you power through strenuous workouts. A good workout playlist can help boost your endurance so you can do more at the gym.
Finally, music is known to create a rhythm response that helps you keep pace. This helps you become more efficient with your movements and expending energy during your workout.
When choosing music for your workouts, think about the beat of the music since it affects how you synchronize your workout. Experts suggest that the tempo of the music you’re listing to should be in line with the type of exercise you’re doing. For warm-ups, choose songs that have 100 to 110 beats per minute (BPM). For strength, go for 110 to 120 BPM. For endurance, speed, and agility exercises, go for upwards of 120 BPM.
Grab a workout buddy and start sweating together because this is one of the easiest ways to make your days at the gym more fun.
Apart from spending quality time with a person who’s close to your heart, working out with a friend also helps keep you motivated. You can be each other’s cheerleader so you’ll work harder and get better results.
Having a workout buddy also helps you become more consistent with your fitness routine. You can hold each other accountable since you’re counting on one another to show up and do the work.
Finally, there’s tons of fitness activities you can try with a friends that you wouldn’t normally try alone. A workout buddy motivates you to try new things so you can be more adventurous when it comes to your workouts.
Doing the same thing over and over again can become tedious in the long run. Sure, squats are great for the glutes and running is great cardio but it can get boring when it’s all you do for fitness.
Add some variety to your workouts can help spice things up and make your workouts extra fun. There’s a lot of ways to mix things up depending on the physical activity you enjoy.
If you’re runner you can try a different route or try running in a pool. If you like cycling, try taking a spin class or go up the trails.
You can also mix things up by trying out new activities depending on the season. You can try snowboarding in the winter or wakeboarding and kayaking in the summer.
Alternatively, you can try new classes to add variety to your physical activities. Why not try kick boxing, yoga, or pole dancing.
